A Banana a Day Keeps all Doctors Away

Never put banana in the refrigerator!!!

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit.

It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression , many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels , which can affect your mood.

Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

Constipation : High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

Hangovers : One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels , while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

Morning Sickness : Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness .

Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Temperature control : Many other cultures see bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer tryptophan.

Smoking & Tobacco Use: Bananas can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium (K) and magnesium (Ma) found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal .

Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body's water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium banana snack.

Strokes: According to research in "The New England Journal of Medicine, 'eating bananas as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%!

Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of banana skin and place it on the wart, with the yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place with a plaster or surgical tape !

So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals . It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"

PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time!
Shine your shoesJ Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth.......

Shine your face J Mix banana with honey and a bit of lemon juice, make paste, apply on your face (beware of skin allergy- so make a test doze first), keep for half an hour every day before sun-rise and wash out... and Your face will shine like fresh banana....
Amazing fruit, really the banana, bringing consolation to the whole humanity.........and rather cheap.....So get going...

Wishing you sound health..

I tried many sports, yet i still fail at everything

RUNNING
Every year some friends and I participate in the Nestle Fun Run, well at least the 3 km.fun run. While running the race, I noticed something very important - the flow of the race. Anyone who's done a lot of racing in scenarios with a lot of participants probably knows what I mean. It's the average pace of the race as a whole, and is very easy to spot once you know what you're looking for.
If you want to spot it, just ask yourself are most people moving away or towards you?
I never really paid attention to the flow, because I was previously always moving very slow than the flow. he..he... but it suddenly became very apparent to me when I was moving slower than the flow. Even though I was passing individual people, every time I lifted my head I had a sinking feeling from all the people who were pulling away from me.Just like the marathon, in business you are either moving faster than the flow, equal to it or slower than it.
HORSEBACK RIDING
My dream of qualifying for the Olympic equestrian sports like my idol Mikee Coangco pero that was 20 years ago he....he...  I've had the same dream ever since I was five years old na magkaron ng pony but i know its impossible kasi cannot afford kami makabili ng pony and if ever no place kung saan ko ititira ang pony ko (saan ko ilalagay ang kwadra sa village). Hanggang sa nalimot ko na ang pangarap kung yun and last 2009 nabigyan ako ng chance na makapag try ng Natural Horse Training sa Tagaytay , they don’t really give traditional horseback riding lessons or offer traditional horse training. Instead, they teach people to become partners with their horse and develop a relationship of trust and understanding sa mga Kabayo.

BOAT RAFTING
Na try ko to last 2009 Samar Escapade. With so much water running down the slopes of the mountains of Brgy. Pina. Pina. Nakakahiya talaga sinalubong pa ako ng kids ng yakap sabay tanong okay ka na Te wag kang matakot. he...he....

Mountain Climbing April 2011 at Mt. Banahaw

The outbound activity was so great and sobrang astig and ang saya kasi first time kung makasama husband ko sa Hiking.

Golf
I work as tee girl at Alabang Golf Course year 2002

My bad memory from long ago sa Alabang golf couse noong nagwork ako as tee girl. My Korean guest try to touch my legs he...he...he...but before nya mahawakan pinalo ko ang kamay nya ng caddy kit. he!!!he!!! Naughty ko di ba? Bagay yan sa mga naughty guest din. To make my story short natangal ako sa work ko sayang ang laki pa naman ng tip ko kahit nakakapagod ang patakbo takbo hahabol habol sa bola at taga dampot at isa pa super sexy kasi ng outfit uniform namin. he!!!he!!! Gusto ko rin pala mag thank you kay Sir Gik Chay Lim and Sir Charles Choong nagturo sa akin pano maglaro ng golf. And according to them "Golf is a game where the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well".

Swimming
I  love to swim for so many reason. Foremost, I swim because I LOVE it so much. I also swim for the friends, I swim for the exercise. Swimming is exciting,  It gives me a place 2 relax and let go of everything else.... it teaches lessons, and I  love the feeling you get when  you swim  your hardest and achieve your goals!! It's umdiscribable. It's so amazing. But to be honest di ako ganun kagaling lumangoy lalo na sa mga malalim takot ako. Pero in case may baha kaya ko naman siguro maka survive kasi marunong naman ako ng basic freestyle and floating pero di ako pang competition.
freestyle stroke
Backstroke
If may chance gusto ko rin matuto mag Butterfly,Breast Stroke, Sidestroke at iba pang swimming techniques.

Boxing
I have 5 brother's sa bahay ang laro namin Boksing boksingan and madalas ako talunan, ako ang madalas umiyak.

So naging routine na namin na everyday before and after work mag practice ng boxing and good exercise na din.

Philippine Airsoft
To be honest di ko talaga ma appreciate ang sports na to una super nakakahingal. Takbo tago, and tira kung saan talagang di bagay sa akin ang sports na to. Pang action movie ang sports na to.Would you believe ako lagi ang pina ka weakest sa team and laging unang una na-aout sa team he..he.. Three or four times ko rin na try ang sports na to with different circle of freinds nakaka enjoy kahit nakakapagod and dito mo masusukat ang team work and camaraderie ng pagkakaibigan nyo. Matagal tagal na rin since the last time na naglaro kami nito. I would like to say thank you sa SAF Family ko lalo na kay Sir Rodrigo Salazar, Sir Gino Bagsik sa Team leader namin Sir Dindo Cabote, SPO1 M. Ramos, SPO1 Palomar and sa buddy buddy kung si Police Man  yun kasi twag ko sa kanya.

Billiard

Bungee Jumping
Experience the thrill of bungee jumping!  What could be more exciting than watching the earth rush towards you as you accelerate from 0-60mph in under two seconds?  I try this once lang sa Subic Free Port last 2008 during Nestle Extreme Sports Fest and would you believed me if i told you na among the girls participants ako lang ang nakatalon he...he...he... Thanks to Maam Yeng sa isang shot ng tequila sa sobrang hilo ko napatalon na lang ako ng wala pang signal ha...ha...ha... ganun ako ka atat at katapang that time and sa mga cheering squad ko Nestle QC Dept. thank you sa support nyo akala ko katapusan ko na tinext ko pa si Nanay Tess na baka di na ako makauwi  ng buhay at bago nya pa ko pa natangap reply nya nakatalon na ako. he...he... KUDOS to myself sa katapangan ko . Sana next year maulit muli but this time gusto ko kasama ko na tumalon si Toto Ric.

Next year i want to try cycling since my husband super in love sa bike nya gusto kong subukan sa mundo nya. Sa mundo ng Bisekleta. Its my dream come true na makasama sya sa pagpedal mula Manila hanggang Baguio but before that i need to buy my own mountain bike muna para magamit ko for practice tsaka ko na e try ang racer na bike.

i am sorry Lord

Dear father Jesus,

i know i can say i am sorry and know that you will forgive me, but father please help me change and turn away from my sins. please help me change my heart and help me learn the real meaning of intimacy with a deep relationship with you and show me what love is supposed to be and what it means to love someone and to be selfless and the joy of intimacy and its reward of commitment. father help me see love in your eyes instead of the way the world sees it. it is corrupted and i have been a testimony of its pain and sorrow and how shallow it is. i want a kind of love that you meant for us to have. i have to deny myself and what i know and so much of me and my pride and all the things i cling on too to find you and the answers i seek…. i have to fix my eyes on you father. i dont know how but i have to trust that you will guide me and speak to me. pour your spirit on me and cleanse me o father.

Amen

Hardest Lesson from Maam Ying Neng

1.) I learned how to make  a "dream folder" they call it the vision board. You're supposed to have  a goals in your life and     you could write it down in a notebook or post photos of what  you want  to achieve on a cork board.

2.) The best thing we can do with the failure of the past is to let them be  history. Yes it happen certainly it hurt.

3.)  We cannot erase  the past, but we can accept it as history.

4.) Stay humble,be faithful,offer hope,work diligently,fight fairly,live simply and love deeply.

5.) be yourself.

I met my best freind in third grade. She was on the swings she looked sad. I asked where did you come from? She said "My name is Jomay and I from Rodriguez ." I said I was from Block 3. The next day two boys were teasing Jomay I'm not quite sure why it was so long ago. But anyways I was stronger than anybody I met and I showed those boys who's boss! Then Jomay said "your my best friend now! " and I said "cool" After a month nalaman ko na 2 older brothers nya pala yung 2 boys na yun and naging Ex-bf ko pa and now best friend ko na rin.

Yaya'y Atun
They came from a family who had just moved in next door. I was standing in the front yard, and then my brother dumped a bucket of water over my head from the roof. They laughed and...invited me over. It all started from there. :) It was in the summer . I know, she's younger then me. And after so many many many years nagkita ulit kami sa facebook her name is Jomay.

Jen Sevilla
Well my first best friend was in 1st grade. We just got sat by each other and then we totally clicked and we laughed together and we stayed BFF's till 6th grade unfortunately, but then i met my next best friend and her and i are like twins we were kinda like enemies and then we are now BFF's!

Mai Rodrigo
k, i have 2 best friends one i met in 4th grade. I saw her reading a book i really like(im a book worm) and talked to her then we became great friends the other one i met in third grade and i noticed she liked Hello Kitty too so we became friends then we slowly became really close.

Dina
Loka2 ka tlga kilala mo sya e. At alam mo rin pano kami nagkakilala. hihihihi

Melane Ybut
I was at work and had seen him a few times he would come up with something to get me talking when he found out I was single he asked me out although we dated a few times we agreed we were better friends than lovers and we are still best friends I have been there for him in times of need and he has done the same for me.
I love you best friend Totoy!!!!

Kitchie Mamangun
Your story makes me wonder about my boy best friend if something similar will happen?
ive known him since 1st graade, we met at my cousins birthday, i had the last cookie and he wanted it, so i broke it in half and gaave some to him. he had manners then and still does now, and thanked me, after that we got along great, and he came to my school in 6th grade. he said he remembered me from the past, and i remember him. so we started sitting by eachother and stuff, remembering being friends over a cookie! because our last names both end in KM, we sat by eachother in every class since he was in my homeroom and all the other classes. we began super close, and we tell each other everything! even today, wer still close, we always hang out and have all our lil inside jokes over stupid things. we look at eachother and just brust out laughing cuz we thought of sumin we did like a week ago. we never got in a fight too. thats what i think is so....

Maam Kim
Here's mine. I met first met him when I just started ninth grade. I think it was the first day of school. I was walking in to class and I saw these two tall guys torturing this poor boy that was like a foot shorter than they were. He was bleeding a little and he looked like he was going to cry. So I went up to them and told them to leave him alone. I had to get a little pushy, but they finally left him alone. I asked him if he was okay and if he was hurt, but he just looked the other way. I felt pretty bad because he didn't even thank me. But later that day, he found me in the band room and he apologized for ignoring me. And I hugged him. I think that was what brought us together as friends.
And you know what? He's my husband now!
How did you meet YOUR best friend Joy, and how? Please, I must know, I'm so curious also!

BTW. . .I think I already asked this question. . .

Ralph Adanza
Tita Joy, We'll that's hard one because i have many best friends. Si Kuya Rodolf na lang nga.

Hashir Ali
